Construction and virtual tour of the stroll garden.
In early January of 2009, after a refreshing Christmas/New Year break, we made the first step toward developing our stroll garden. The garden frames our outdoor classroom then leads you into a leisurely stroll, surrounded by gently rolling berms, complete with sitting areas for viewing. This initial stage is a sample of what is to come, and the long-term vision for the garden will eventually see it totally surrounding our 4 1/2 acre nursery.
The first phase of the garden includes 78 azaleas, encompassing 25 varieties, 13 varieties of hydrangea, 8 varieties of Camellia as well as Japanese maples, redbud, dogwood, hemlock, and numerous perennials that include hostas, astilbe, fern, heuchera (coral bells), and hellebores. As the garden continues to grow, undoubtedly so will the varieties and species of plants.
We invite you to come celebrate life in the natural setting at Garden Adventures Nursery.
