Jim Kohler, Hummert International and Springfield Seed Company will present their new soil mix which has been blended specifically for raised beds and container gardening. Raised beds are certianly not a new idea, but have been generating renewed interest. It's a great way to enhance your landscaping and make gardening easier. A sustainable, organic solution to gardening!
There will be two classes (9am and 1pm)

April 19-20 , 2008 - Azalea Fest & Art in the Garden
Come join us for a spring celebration showcasing the "Royalty of the Garden", Azaleas. We will be highlighting this 4-season beauty and sharing techniques as well as cultural practices to help you be successful in growing this falsely accused 'finicky' plant. We will also be promoting local artists through ART in the GARDEN. Come see some of the finest potters, painters, woodworkers, etc. that our area has to offer.

For hundreds of years, Hydrangeas have played a major role in gardens of zone 5 and warmer. Producers have done much work the past few years, introducing hardier plants with bigger, bolder blooms. Don't forget about the old-fashioned varieties, however, newer isn't always better. Mopheads, lacecaps, oakleafs, and paniculatas, we'll showcase them all.
